UI / UX Designer

The opportunity
As a UI / UX Designer you will create software interface designs that make users lives better by helping them accomplish their tasks faster and more efficiently. You will test designs with usage data and make methodical improvements based on that data. We want to give customers designs that are both beautiful and functional. Your job is to balance those two to ensure that users enjoy using the software.
Responsibilities
- Provide beautiful and functional designs that our customers will love
- Develop new/enhance existing software features
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Assure that designs work perfectly on mobile, tablet, and web browsers
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Build HTML components and templates to assist the development team in deploying your designs
Ideal profile
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in Art, Design, or other similar major, or equivalent experience
- 2+ Years of design related experience
- Advanced knowledge with tools like Figma, Penpot, Sketch, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop
- Proficient in designing software interfaces for the web
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML and CSS
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and fixes
- Ability to monitor software usage and methodically approach creating and testing improvements to interfaces based on usage data using tools such as Google Analytics or Matomo
- Ability to create informative executive presentations about User Behavior
- Familiar with Google Workspaces (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Slides, etc).
- Bonus: Proficient in English and Spanish (both verbal and written)

Work authorization
Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided for this role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the Dominican Republic and must maintain authorization to work in the Dominican Republic throughout their employment with our company.
Salary Range
DevOcho seeks to hire top-tier individuals across the country and intends for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision.
Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.
Monthly Salary: RD $60,000
