The opportunity

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the DevOps pipelines and production environment for your team and the software they build. You will work to completely automate your life and then automate big portions of the lives of your teammates. You are the person responsible for hardware / infrastructure on the team. You will use some of the latest cloud and cloud automation technologies including Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD platforms, and large scale databases and files storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide the technical design, implementation, and optimization of infrastructure services
• Research and recommend new technology, such as integrated hardware and software solutions, that meet key business requirements
• Ensure architecture and design provide reliability and redundancy for all software and services
• Develop and maintain high-quality documentation and runbooks for supported software and infrastructure
• Own the automation of operational activities for Linux and Cloud-related technologies
• Ensure the project meets compliance requirements (e.x. SOX, SOC2, PCI DSS) and other legal and regulatory compliance in the infrastructure area

Ideal profile

• Excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication skills
• A minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar role and experience working with public clouds (e.x. AWS, Digital Ocean, GCP, Azure) or Kubernetes in a local server environment
• Self-driven and eager to learn
• Excellent organizational, analytical abilities and problem solving skills
• Experience using Linux as a server environment
• Deployment tools - Ansible and/or Terraform
• Microservices tools: Kubernetes, Helm
• Experience with designing and implementing sophisticated CI/CD pipelines
• Programming experience with Python and knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash
• Knowledge in various system-level topics - OS, networking, file system management
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.x. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology) or equivalent experience
• Bonus: Advanced in Spanish and English (both written and verbal)

Salary Range

Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.
